About Me
Hi, I Am Kate Sansum
I have had a passion for fitness classes since my teenage years when my Mother was one of the original Jane Fonder style teachers & her music was Kid Creole & the Coconuts !
Since then I’ve taught every thing from Line dancing to Fitness Kickboxing, which is still a part of my life as our family business is Martial Arts and we have had Sansum Black Belt Academy here in the North of Scotland since 1999. I now a Black Belt Instructor to Little Dragons (3-5 year olds) & my own children twins Sebastian & Blake, currently 8 years old & their big brother Theo who is a 15 year old budding International athlete just like his older Step Brother Damon who has retired from the Team GB Taekwondo Olympic Team.
I’ve found exercise and my life coaching skills have made me even more resilient through some tough times in life too such as 10 rounds of IVF to finally complete my family, marriage break ups, and even my Mother’s death when struck down by a car on her 83rd Birthday. I have found daily routines, mental exercises and other methods of relaxation which I pass on to my ladies on my page and in Kate’s Club to help with the stresses of life and the menopause.
I have shared my menopausal journey very openly on my Facebook page in the hope it will help others navigate their way through this very tricky time of life. I am now able to help ladies in their 40’s, 50’s & 60’s who are really frustrated by their waistline expanding even though they have not changed their eating or exercise routines. I can advise on the way we need to change our eating and exercise to work with our new metabolism because I any going through it too !
I love to share my home life with my gorgeous husband Lee who has been in my life for 21 amazing years, he has a colourful past and was actually Princess Diana’s bodyguard. He has looked after many rich and famous but really enjoyed his time looking after Diana & the Princes in St Tropez during the summer before she died.
